7、public officials that exercise public power (hereinafter referred to as the ,public officials*), investigate duty-related illegal activities and offences, carry out the building of an incorruptible government and anti-corruption work and safeguard the dignity of the Constitution and laws in accordan

9、cases of duty-related illegal activities and offences, supervisoryagencies shall cooperate with the judicial organs, procuratorialArticle1ThisLawisenactedinaccordancewiththeConstitutionwithaviewtodeepeningthereformofthenationalsupervisionsystem,strengtheningthesupervisionoverpublicofficialsthatexerc

12、严相济。第六条国家监察工作坚持标本兼治、综合治理，强化监督问责，严厉惩治腐败；深化改革、健 全法治，有效制约和监督权力；加 强法治教育和道德教育，弘扬中华 优秀传统文化，构建不敢腐、不能 腐、不想腐的长效机制。第二章监察机关及其职责Article5ThenationalsupervisionworkshallbecarriedoutbycomplyingwiththeConstitutionandthisLaw,basingonfactsandtakingthisLawasthecriterion.Allareequalintheapplicationofthelaw,withprotecti

13、onofthelegitimaterightsandinterestsofthepartiesconcerned.Itisimperativetobalancepowerandresponsibilitywithstrictsupervision.Punishmentshallbecombinedwitheducationandleniencywithseverity.Article6Nationalsupervisionworkshallbecarriedoutbyadheringtotheprincipleoftreatingboththerootcausesandthesymptoms,

14、withcomprehensivegovernance,strengtheningsupervisionaccountabilityandseverelypunishingcorruption.Itisimperativetodeepenreforms,improvetheruleoflaw,effectivelyrestrictandsupervisepower.Meanwhile,itisrequiredtostrengthentheruleoflaweducationandmoraleducation,promotethefinetraditionalChinesecultureande
