Unevendevelopmentofmitigationtechnologiesintheenergyindustry,coupledwithinsufficientcosteffectivenessformajoremissionssources,makesitchallengingtoattractinvestmentformitigationprojects. Apartfrompolicyandtechnologicalsupport,methanemitigationrequiresconcreteactionsfromthecoalindustryandoilandgascompanies.GreaterawarenessandincentivesarecrucialtocatalyzeinitiativeswithinChineseenergyenterprisesandrelatedindustries.Toaddressthepreviouslymentionedchallenges,RMIproposesmeasuresacrossfivedimensionstoacceleratemethanemitigationinChina'senergysector.Theenergysectorshouldoptimizeenergyproductionandconsumptionbyacceleratingenergytransitionandestablishingprocurementprinciples,therebymaximizingthesynergisticeffectofenergytransitiononmethaneemissionsreduction.Itshouldenhancetheeconomicviabilityandapplicabilityofmitigationtechnologiesthroughmarketmechanismstopromoteprojectconstructionandfullyrealizetheclimatevalueofmethanereduction.Itshouldbreakdowninformationbarriersthroughimprovedinformationdisclosure.Itshouldalsoboostmethanegovernancethroughincreasedinternationalcoop
