BACKGROUNDChineseTaipeiheldatwo-dayphysicalevent,APECIndustry-AcademiaCollaborationWorkshoponInclusiveDigitalTalentDevelopmentandTechnology(Al)-enabledSustainability:PoliciesandExemplarsofIndustry-AcademiaPartnershipnfrom31Augustto1September2023.Theproposedprojectaimedtointegrateresourcesandmultipletalentstomovetowardareciprocatingmodeltofacilitatefurtherdigitalandinclusivedevelopment.Theoutputsdeliveredincludeamoreinteractiveexchangeofexperiencesandexpertisethroughin-personWorkshop,allocatingexistingresourcestoprovidehands-ontrainingprogramswhichtargetin-schoolyouthandwomen,continuingeffortstoreshapethedynamicsofthesocialmilieuthroughdigitalapplications.DifferentmodulesofoperationsandsystemframeworkswerediscussedandproducedtosupporttheAPECagenda.Allparticipantswereexpectedtoobtaininsightsandsubstantiverecommendationsfromtheprojecttoenhancetheiroperativemodels.TheWorkshopbroughttogetherpolicymakersresponsibleforeducationalspheresandindustry-academiacollaborationexpertsfrommanyAPECmembereconomies.Itservedasaplatformforinteractiveexchangeofexperiencesandexpertise,fosteringmeaningfuldiscussionsandpromotingeffectivestrategiesforinclusivedigitaltalentdevelopmentandsustainabletechnologyadoption.TheWorkshopwasfirstafull-dayforumwithin-personspeakers/participantsattendinginChineseTaipei,showcasingbestpracticesfortheindustry-academiacooperativemodelthatexpandsthescopeofinclusiveandinnovativetalenttraining,andthenafieldtripforon-siteindustry/schoolvisitswasarrangedonthenextdaytodemonstratebestpracticeandsuccessfuloperativemodelsinordertomakesureoftheexchangeofexperiencesandalsotoallowin-persondiscussiononapracticallevelforallparticipants.TheWorkshopwasopentoparticipantsfromallAPECeconomies,targetparticipantswerepolicymakersresponsibleforeducationalspheresandindustry-academiacollaborationexperts.2. EXPECTEDOUTCOMESOurobjectivewastodevelopamarket-responsiveprogramthatenableseducationinstitutionsandindustriestoengagewiththemoderndigitalizedworld.Theprojectaccentuatedgovernment-industry-academiacollaborationtoharnessthepowerofdigitaltechnologytofurtherexpandtotheevolvingAl-embeddedtalenttrainingtoentrenchtheAPECeconomiesinsharedandinclusiveprosperity.Expectedoutcomeswereasfollows:1. ReconsiderationandimprovementonexistingTechnologicalandVocationalEducationandTrainingschemewillbestimulatedanddrivenbytheshowcaseofexemplarymodelsofTVETprogramsinindustry-academiacollaboration.2. ResourceswillbeallocatedandintegratedwithinAPECregiontobeleveragedintosuccessfulindustry-academiacollaborationmodelsinandpreferablybetweenAPECmembereconomies.3. SubstantiveexperiencewillbesuccessfullyexchangedandtransferredtoallparticipatingAPECmembereconomies.4. KeyfeedbackonpaneldiscussionsduringtheWorkshopwillprovidepracticalinsightoncurriculumpanningforacademiaaswellasforpolicymakerswithintheAPECregion.5. Networkofacademicandindustryexperts,policymakersanddelegatesfromAPECmembereconomieswillbeestablishedforcontinuousdriveinpolicyreformandimprovementtopromotecollaborationbetweengovernment,highereducationandTVETinstitutions,businessandeducationandtrainingstakeholders.METHODOLOGY1.
